Ribbed Pumpkin - Free Crochet Pattern

To complete the pumpkin collection are these faux knit pumpkin.

When it came to this pumpkin I knew I wanted to do something different from the traditional indentions. I considered several different techniques and stitches, but finally settled on creating ribbing.

As a crochet designer I feel like I am constantly trying to figure out how to make crochet look like knit. This one was kind of fun because I didn't realize that it looked knit until I was putting the finishing touches on it. I really love how modern the pumpkin looks with combination of the white yarn and ribbed texture.
