Mini Pumpkin - Free Crochet Pattern

These mini pumpkins are so cute and addicting to make! They make the perfect decor for fall.

This little cutie *might* be my favorite out of all the pumpkins. I can just imagine making an entire collection of these and displaying them in a crate or bucket in the entry way - how cute would that be?!?

Another reason why I love these so much is that they don't take up much yarn! These lil' pumpkins are serious stash-busters. Just use what ever worsted-weight yarn you have in your stash!

That is a total win in my opinion.

Oh yeah, did I mention that this is a beginner-friendly pattern? The free pattern is down below!

• I used 1 skein of Lion Brand’s Touch of Alpaca in Goldenrod.

H/5.00mm crochet hook

Tapestry needle

2 inch stick

Hot glue gun

Twine/string

Scraps of leather

Stuffing

Size:

The size will vary depending on the amount of stuffing in the pumpkin. But the approximate size is 2 inches tall and 3 ¾ inches in diameter.

Notes:

1) This pattern is written in American Crochet Terms.

2) The ch 1 at the beginning of each row does not count as a st

3) The pumpkin is worked in flat and seamed together

Stitches used:

St: Stitch

Sl st: Slip stitch

Ch: Chain

Sc: Single crochet

Skill Level:

Beginner

Gauge:

Not important

Pattern:

Ch 17

Row 1: 1 sc in second ch from hook and in every ch across (16). Ch 1, turn.

Row 2: In the FRONT LOOP only of every st, work 1 sc in every st (16). Ch 1, turn.

Repeat row 2 for a total of 33 rows. Fasten off leaving a long tail.

Assembly:

Fold the rectangle in half and seam up the side.

Cinch one side closed, fill with stuffing and cinch the other side closed.

To make the indentions, wrap the yarn around to the other side and insert the needle through the middle on the other side and pull the needle up through. Pull slightly to make a more defined indention.

Dab a little glue in the middle and insert the stick. Cut some leaves out of leather and glue them next to the stick. To finish it off, tie some twine or string around the “stem”.
