Lakewood Wrap - Free Crochet Pattern

Inspired by the classic knit and purl stitches, this crochet wrap gives the impression that it's knit, but it's really crochet! Modern and minimalist, the wrap can effortlessly be styled for everyday wear. Featuring simple construction and stitches, this is the perfect mindless road trip project or for a chill night at home.

I am so happy to introduce to you the Knit and Purl. This wrap has been a long time coming. I originally started this wrap this summer, but life and other projects happened so this WIP got put on the back burner for a few months. I was so happy I was able to pick it back up an finish it!

As a crochet designer one of the things I love is trying to make crochet look knit. I must say, I am really, really happy with how this scarf turned out. I I used two different types of half double crochets to make this wrap look like a variation between the knit stitch and the purl stitch. I used the camel half double crochets for the "knit" stitches and the herringbone half double crochet for the "purl" stitches.

The yarn I used for this wrap Lion Brand's Coboo. This yarn is one of my new favorites! It is so soft and the drape and stitch definition is incredible! I will say that you do have to be careful working with it, because it does tend to split a little bit, but if you're careful you should be good!

Below is the free pattern! I hope you enjoy it. Be sure to tag me on Instagram at @_stitchberry with your own wrap!
